This series is an exporation of textures and material layering. These pieces were created using a variety of tools to score and mark raw clay with some tools not technically supposed to be used with ceramics. For some pieces different clays types were layered on the base clay.
Grooved| White clay, glazed with Black underglaze brushed off and then Oribe glaze on top | Not for Sale
Brushed| White clay, glazed with Black underglaze at ridges and then Touchstone under turquoise | Not for Sale
Ribbed | Chocolate clay with porcelain clay bushed on, bisque fired then Turners matte
Coursed | White clay with brushed on chocolate & porcelain clays with a poured over of gold rod
Textured | White clay, glazed with Touchstone
